January and June School Promotions

These promotions are scheduled on the last Saturday of January and June. And according to their attendance schedule and other ranking criteria these are the months in which Brown belt students are promoted to Black belt. This ceremony also marks the promotion of Black belt students to their next level, other belt ranks are also promoted again according to each student’s attendance record and other school ranking criteria. Plus students will also perform hand to hand workouts or weapons workouts and defense against weapons. Also included in the ceremony are hand forms and weapons forms by both adults and junior students.

Since we do not do this for sport or competition this is the only time during their training that students get a chance to show family and friends the knowledge they have gained thru their training in Kung Fu San Soo.

There are also advancements in student rank according to each student's attendance schedule thru-out the year.

Special Events

Annual Holiday Pot-Luck dinner

This ongoing yearly event at the school is scheduled between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays on a Saturday evening and is open to all students, family members and friends. This is a chance for all students, family members and friends to catch up and enjoy each other’s company and also enjoy a great variety of food.

Annual Knotts Berry Farm field trip

Our annual trips to Knott’s are scheduled in August and open to all students, family members and friends. Special discount tickets are available through the school and are purchased a week in advance.

The main purpose of this field trip under our supervision and with the assistance of our adult (parent/student) chaperones is for our juniors to enjoy a fun outing outside the school and to develop

The students are paired up together by twos or threes and keep an eye on each other while everyone enjoys the rides and shows. At no time is the entire group separated from each other, everybody waits for each other while some enjoy the rides. We go together, we stay together, and we leave together as a group, unless students are with their parents then they are allowed to leave with the parent if they desire too.
